Making the most of your time at university

Welcome to the first of our Trinity Laban Forum Series 2016-17! Over the next couple of months, we will be posting a number of discussions throughout The Student Room site about a wide range of topics - some related to higher education, others talking about broader life skills and experiences. We want to hear from people from all walks of life - from students who are applying to/or already at university to graduates and other universities and institutions. We want to use this opportunity not just for us, but for you all to connect with the vibrant TSR community. So let's get going!

Many of you have embarked on a new, action-packed journey at your university. But your time there isn't just about writing essays, practising your musical instrument or going to lectures on a regular basis. University opens up so many opportunities to develop skills that enable you to become an all-rounded person. So we want to know:

Share your thoughts with us and other people on this forum!

I think, even above studying, happiness is the most important thing. Whatever you're doing, you should be as happy as possible. Whether it's doing a sport or hanging out with friends or studying.. which isn't fun or interesting all the time, granted, but I think it's important to actively pursue happiness
