Which character do you pick for Mario Kart?

Which character do you normally pick for Mario Kart? The list of available characters is huge, too many for a poll, but only a few have featured in all eight versions of the game - do you favour one of these main characters, or one of the less-regular stars? Or perhaps you prefer to go random? :smile:

For me, it's Toad. I love that little guy!

I only have Mario Kart on DS, so my choice of characters is limited... I *think* I played as Princess Daisy until after I unlocked Waluigi, at which point I never looked back. :p:

I'd totally pick Birdo or Link if they were available, though. :sadnod:

On MK-Wii, I normally played as Funky Kong or Daisy, for teh speed. (they have the fastest character-vehicle pair) On MK7, I played as Metal Mario for the same reason.

Luigi on MK64 and MK DS
I change between all characters in MK DD
On MK8 I used to only pick Rosalina, now I only pick morton.

I played Diddy Kong on Mario Kart Wii because he was top tier and optimal, and played as Luigi in the DS days.

Now I play Link or Ludwig. I mean look at this smuglord
