Yes I do think it can. A large number of marriages nowadays are students who met at university. What you do need to do is accept what has happened, has happened and get on with it.

Its a great opportunity to do so many things, but dont get depressed on that alcohol

lol yeah, the alcohols such a depressant! i think especially as im going to be living in halls and so far away it will keep my mind off him. we haven't even spoken for months, he has a new gf now and im still down about it, its so so so lame.

yep definitely. the only successful way i've been able to get over past relationships is going out with mates, partying, meeting new people/getting to know them and keeping myself busy. university life includes all those so yeah, i think you will definitely get over your ex at uni. plus there'll be loads of cute guys to take your mind off him. (er, hopefully).
