Social learning theory

What are the weaknesses and strengths of the social learning theory?

Also, does anyone know what "learning set", "lateral, positive and negative transference" mean? Or does anyone know any good Psychology sites where I can look up relevant information myself?

social learning theory or any behaviourist theories usually have the weakness of much of their evidence coming from animal research - which cannot be directly applied to humans.

and they are beneficial in that behaviour can be measured objectively. But then again, that requires use of lab experiments... and we all know why they're bad
