You do need to put the centre details down, especially if it's for an exam you haven't taken yet. If you put the wrong details down (ie your school) then UCAS will have problems with your results around results day, and thus you might have to wait a while for your place to be confirmed. You don't want to have to phone your unis frantically because you don't know if you've got in.
