Most people study locally because there’s no funding to cover living costs if you leave home.

What sort of specialisms are you hoping to try/do?
What sort of town/city are you happiest living in?
Wow! Thank you, it's interesting!
I'm starting my FAD year soon and am feeling pretty scared :P

I'm really hoping I can specialize in fine art, despite doing Graphic Design for A-Level

This thread is really great btw @PQ since it's really hard to get information like this with all the rubbish elsewhere, ill make sure to come back here in a while and maybe give an update of what I thought about it : D

Hi! Are international students under 19 also exempt from the tuition fees? Or do we still have to pay? :0c

And should I send my UCAS application first and wait for replies and then apply for FAD courses or should I send in the applications at the same time?

International students aren't exempt from tuition fees
When to send is up to you. Some courses have an earlier deadline for FAD than for UCAS courses.

There’s no loans for living costs for FAD courses.

Some will have residential bursaries to help cover accommodation costs for students from low income families from outside the immediate area but the details are not available until late on.
