I literally do not understand what's going on??? Surely it should be cot(2x+5) = root 3 then go from there? Why isn't there '+5'? Please help :frown:


There is meant to be a plus 5 and you are doing it right, if you follow through you should get tge answer in the mark scheme; the only reason that the mark scheme says '+...' is because it means that you an still get the first few method marks for making a mistake and writing +10, for example
