AQA A LEVEL PSYCHOLOGY Statistical tests

FOR a level psychology do we need to know how to calculate all the statistical tests like Chi-squared, Wilxon ........ tests except sign test? Because its so hard and apparently we don't need to know all the formulas just need to know when to use which test, like ordinal data, measures...... Thanks

no. you definitely need to know how to do the sign test. but the other ones you need to know the conditions for which you need to use them in
for example, the question could ask why would a wilcoxocon test be useful for this or the question could ask what statistical test you would use based on the experiment they provided

so for these tests you just need to know the condition,the question may be why may Wilcoxon test be used? do you have to say ordinal data and repeated measure design? Thanks
