thanksYep looks like if your a non-music student you probably just email to book, i imagine as long as their not in use its pretty relaxed.
Also in the Portland building (the main SU building) their is a public piano people can play.

thanksI'm 1st year and wondering the same thing. Assuming you've possibly, graduated this year, congratulations! Just wondering if you managed to go to the piano rooms easily? Also what building is it in?

I'm third year, I've managed to book the music rooms very easily. They are close the the djanogly arts centre
