Does anyone studying GCSE History have the answer to why Mary Queen of Scotts who was catholic was planned to get married to the duke of Norfolk who was protestant in the Ridolfi plot and the revolt of northern earls, why would they plan for Mary to marry a protestant if they want wanted to restore Catholicism in England?
To restore peace with the catholics and protestants in England. And as a sign of joining the two together in a political marriage to make Mary more liked.
