Warwick PGCE Experiences?
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some insight into the secondary PGCE at Warwick. My interview day went well and most of the staff seemed nice and the course supportive. However, I have read some very negative reviews about the course- specifically about staff bullying and focus being on the university's reputation rather than students? Is this so?
Any insight into the course or the university in general would be much appreciated!

Hi. This caught my eye since I did a PGCE at Warwick (secondary Maths) a long time ago. I had some problems in my second placement with the negativity of my mentor. I then regretted mentioning this to my tutor because I could see that he prioritised maintaining good relations with my mentor (HoD at the school I was in in the north of Coventry). I didn't think the quality of the sessions at the uni was great either. However, I am now an experienced teacher and am pleased I stuck out the course.
