I'm at the uni!
It's a fantastic campus and the staff (in chem at least) are really friendly and approachable.
Most of the organized events are clubbing/partying which does seem to be the main focus of student life here but I have really enjoyed myself without that so I'd say there's something for everyone really.

My boyfriend graduated from Philosophy last year- he had a great time 
Nottingham is a great place to study! So much so that we stuck around for our postgrad degrees!
