I was supporting McCain, but didn't think he stood a chance.

The republicans will come round again one day.
I'm very glad Obama won. He comes accross as a much better speaker and more charasmatic person than John McCain. And the idea of Sarah Palin as vice president scared me. She had too strong views over subjects like abortion and not enough experience. How can someone whose only ever been governer of Alaska become vice president of a leading nation at a time of economic turmoil. And she didn't seem to realise half the time the presedential contest wasn't a fashion contest.

Because a lot of the Americans are sick of Bush and his party.

Honestly, Bush is not totally horrible, but people want change, and Obama proposed it.
