M1 january 2001 mark scheme!

Do anyone has this marking scheme? I´ve been looking it for ages everywhere around the internet but i´ve not been able to have... anyone has it? if anyone does ill appreciate it so much!!

Just marked my work and got question 7 completley wrong. I was wondering if anyone could explain it to me, it would be a real help.

Ok the first thing to do is to draw a nice neat diagram with all the forces labelled on it.

Now you know that f=μRf=\mu R and you know RR so you can use that.

You can alos find out cos and sin alpha as they give you tan alpha.

Now resolve up the plane and you will have to use F=ma.

Try using this method and see how far you get.

Well, for part B, you know that the Particle is moving downwards freely. So what are the only two forces acting on it?

Question 5 c when the answer is 0.45... i got 0.9 and i dont know how the person used r = mg ? if someone could explain that would be real help
