I want to choose my offer from manchester met as my firm choice but should i sort accommodation before or after choosing it as my firm choice??? like what if i cant get accommodation lol

also i have no friends going to manchester met, or even manchester (if ur going hmu we can be friends lmaooo), so should i still stick with the unis accom? or do u think i should go with private accom since i know no one??
Go for the uni accommodation most student's don't know each other any way a quick search brought these up
https://www.mmu.ac.uk/study/accommodation/our-halls all the rooms are single occupancy it 's just the kitchen and communal areas that you'll meet other students in (which you'll want because some you'll get on well with.). the halls all look pretty nice to me.

Hi @lolserios

If you are looking into staying in one of our halls of residence accommodation you can view the options here: https://www.mmu.ac.uk/study/accommodation/our-halls

We guarantee to make an offer of university-approved accommodation to all full-time undergraduate students studying at Manchester Metropolitan University for the first time, who register by 29 July 2022.

You will become eligible to book our accommodation once you accept an Unconditional or Conditional offer of a place at Manchester Met, as your firm choice through UCAS.

Unconditional Firm offer holders can book from 10am, 8 March, then Conditional Firm offer holders from 10am, 15 March.

Hope this helps!

UF offer holders from 10am, 8 March, then CF offer holders from 10am, 15 March.

Hi @lolserios [br] Regarding the private accommodation and uni accommodation question I think either one is perfect if you’re going to uni knowing no one. Most people going to uni know absolutely no one, that’s the joy of it! Everyone goes into uni halls and just socialises and gets to know everybody. In my experience, private accommodation is a similar layout as uni accommodation. The only difference is that you would be out with people perhaps not from Manchester Met and different years and ages.

have you though anymore about it,

Hi there,
Regarding private accommodation, I'd say it's very similar - you're just more likely to be surrounded by students from other universities (where applicable) or different years which can be a good thing. If you're interested then I'd recommend researching into your different options (unfortunately, we don't have any in Manchester currently) and doing a pros and cons list.

Hope this helps!
