That's interesting. Based on what the hospitals around me (which had signed up to MSC) were saying I didn't think there was another route into medical physics. What kind of employee would they train up?

In terms of medial physics the people they may train would still be physics graduates but might have been working as a technologist in the department.
These people may have to attend the AC to get the job or could train via route 2 but route 2 takes 6 years.
Hey Audiology peeps,

Glad to hear lots of you guys got interviews.

It's nerve-wracking waiting to hear isn't it, wondering if you are good enough but always thinking you're not. Especially, when all the information says we would hear by April 4th and you hear nothing.

I found out I got an interview on April 12th with the interview being on the 20th. Gutted as I was flying to Japan the next day for my brothers wedding. If they'd told me on the 4th I could have changed my flights but it was too late. :frown: They said nothing could be changed

PANTHEA: I've got everything crossed for you! Was hoping to see you at Southampton but now the only way I can study MSc Audiology is at Manchester. I'm on the reserve list for an SHA position.

Does anyone know how many SHA positions there are?
What I'm listening to. (Appropriate for our situation, those who've had an interview this year!)

So all of the interviews should be finished now. Hopefully there shouldn't be too much of a delay and they will meet their own deadline of 28th! I wonder when the first lot of people will hear back.

I really hope they start calling/emailing people today as I just can't concentrate on my revision! :frown:

I know what you mean. I've got a poster deadline for Thursday and I just can't get anything done :frown: I'm almost tempted to start pestering them, but I shall resist that temptation as it might just slow them down.

Do you know any number we could call them if they don't get back by 28th? I can't seem to find any contact details apart from e-mail, and the invitation for the assessment centre was from a witheld number.. :s-smilie:

Can't actually find any apart from the number on the letter that was emailed out, but that is just for NHS West Midlands. It's almost as if they don't want to be contacted...

I supposed you could also potentially ring up the number given in the contact details on the job details page on NHS Jobs website. Not a contact for MSC, but they might also know if you were accepted for them or not.

the number on that email is the same that I was given to ring back when I was left a voicemail when I missed the call to let me know I'd got through to the assessment centre.
so that will be the one to ring.

but wait until at least thurs afternoon to pester them.
and then pester them relentlessly until we get our answers!

Heya,
What posts did people get interviewed for?
I got interviewed for Blood Sciences, with a speciality in Haematology on the 11th April.

I really hope that they get back to us by Thursday!

Can someone post the telephone number that they were asked to call in the Voicemail regarding interviews? I somehow managed to delete the email I was sent, so I have nothing to go on at all if they don't contact by Thursday!

I applied for medical physics (Radiotherapy) on the 7th, which I think was in the first week of interviewing.

Number is 0121 695 2222

I applied for clinical engineering, interview was the first day (4th), but I was given a slightly different number: 0121 695 2411
thats what I was given in the voicemail and in the email for Debbie Hancox "Lead Administrator for Hospital and Specialist Education Team and Interim Lead Administrator for Workforce Innovation Team"

although the number 0121 695 2222 was on the attached invitation letter document.

I'm guessing either would get you to the right person
Clinical engineering people should hear something today I should think because its been 3 weeks since their assessment centre date. I don't think it would be a bad thing for clinical engineers to call up and see whats happening.. For contact numbers, you can call the number of the person who actually emailed you (should be at the bottom of the email) or the number on the actual letter (they are different numbers, for me anyway). I personally think its just to pester them because this is ridiculous in my opinion!!

The numbers I have access to are:
0121 213 1997
0121 695 2222
0121 695 2311

Thought it was bad for me. Clinical Engineers must be going nuts by now! If I were you I would be pestering them now :colondollar:

I also have the following number from an email reply I got from someone at MSC before my interview: 0121 695 2507

I wonder if it would be possible to ring up and just get your overall points?

I would be interested in finding out the scores too. I think to save time, they should send this information with the emails (successful or not).
