Chemical Physics vs Physics

Hello, I'm in my last year of highschool and am considering pursuing a Chemical Physics degree over a Physics degree - specifically at the university of Edinburgh.
If anyone is (or has) doing this degree, how are you finding it as opposed to a straight Chem or Phys degree?

Hi, this is probably a bit late to be very helpful. I do chemphys at Bristol and personally I would recommend not doing it. I chose it because I didn't know which I preferred out of chemistry and physics, and thought I would be able to specialise into which ever one I preferred. However, this is not the case, and chemphys has wayyyyy less flexibility and choice than other courses. Physics has way more optional modules to choose from that aren't available to chemphys students, even though I've now realised I'd find them way more interesting. I'd say chemphys is good if you know you like material science, and the small cohort means you have a ready made friend group. However, as I said before, you get way less options in chemphys than either pure chemistry or pure physics.
