Switching course from psychology to teaching?

Hey, so I’m a mature student and have dyslexia and adhd, I’m currently doing psychology and am thinking of switching. I definitely want to work with Sen/neurodivergence, because of my own and daughters experiences I wanted to either be an ep or clinical psychologist.

However I’m really struggling against a brick wall with the research and statistics in psychology, my university isn’t a great help with giving me the help I need to push through,, I’ve reached out to everyone I can. So much so, I’m having to repeat the research module from year 1 this year as I failed last year in my actual year one.

I love sociology and was considering that as an option but am also looking into teaching as I could go on the become a senco or dyslexia assessor and specialise.

I wonder if there are any students in teaching especially if headed towards the sen route if they could tell me what the course is like, I really need to speak to someone who can give me a real world perspective.

Otherwise I’m not sure what my options are. I’m also concerned about my student loans, I’ve had my 1st year, and I’ve had this year, so technically 2 years, and as far as I know you get a total of 4 at undergraduate.
