university

in between two options:
studying law or fashion at uni
help!
Take a gap year and figure it out, don't waste money or your life in a degree you're not sure about. Plus those are two completely different subject areas.

i am a year 11 student and am choosing my a levels and want to choose them based on my career path but unsure about which field i wanna go to
my heart says fashion but my brain otherwise
i am very stressed, anxious and depressed cuz of this whole situation and my mind just won't stop thinking about it

Just take two traditionally academic subjects and art at A-level, then do a FAD course after your A-levels if still unsure in year 13. You can then easily go down either option in the gap year.
be honest do you wanna do law cause you like it or your family want you to do it. im only saying this bc you like fashion and your heart is saying fashion but you want to choose law. do you do art gcse or any equivelant? you can still pick law for uni even if you do art but you would need 2 written subjects. so like art english and sociology is an example and what i did. then after a levels you can do a foundation art degree which is free and lets you continue doing what you enjoy like fashion and is free for under 19s. after all that you can decide what you really want to do and make your decision. but its best to go with your heart

I know someone who does fashion and in university you have to have a lot of drive to do personal projects and projects in groups to build up a portfolio to be able to get recognised and grow your image and end up getting a job. There is essays you have to do on certain topics the teachers choose at random or from group choice. At the end of the day you could probably get into a good university for art like UAL with a good art portfolio and A Levels which suit law which would give you two more years to choose.

A art career and art in university is easier than a Law degree most likely, however if you don't have the drive for the art course you have chosen and don't have a career in mind you will dread it. Same as Law or any other degree, but it's probably best to do A Levels suited for Law and keep doing art on the side. You still have 6 months until you start your A Levels so why don't you do some research on universities like UAL who do Art and other unis who do Law and see what you like. Experiment with different Art styles - see what jobs you might be interested in and that might help more.

It's basically a 1 year FE course (usually), typically taken after A-levels. You spend the entire year studying purely art/design subjects and can specialise in one area, often areas not well represented by the A-level Art curriculum - such as fashion design.
