Job Search

I have completed my masters in Biomedical Science, but I don't have degree in Biomedical Science. How can I secure a Job and what are job positions should I apply for as a starter in this field.

I’d recommend looking at Graduate schemes, they last around 2 years and it makes your CV that much better. If you have the masters in biomed, you can also apply for the STP and maybe the HSST. There’s more information on graduate schemes on the student ladder and for the STP/HSST, the NHS website has all the info.

If anybody is interested in a career in Biomedical Sciences, I would highly recommend the Bsc Health Care sciences degree at University of Bradford. It is a very targeted course for those interested in a career in Healthcare Sciences and you have a work placement at an NHS lab which means you get to do your portfolio and that increases your chances of gaining a full time job. This goes across all sections for example Microbiology, Biochemistry, Haematology etc.
