Is Biomedical Engineering MSc at University of Dundee accredited?

Through the following website, you are expected to have a degree accredited by the "Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).": https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/biomedical-engineer

As it doesn't say whether the degree is accredited on Uni of Dundee's website (https://www.dundee.ac.uk/postgraduate/biomedical-engineering), you would need to check the databases of the professional bodies.

To check on IMech, you would need to use their qualification checker or go on the Engineering Council's website:
https://www.imeche.org/membership-registration/become-a-member/academic-requirements
If you decide to use the checker, you would need an account with them.

To check on IET, you would need to download their directory:
https://www.theiet.org/career/accreditation/academic-accreditation/
From the spreadsheet, it says it is.

On the Engineering Council's website, you would need to do an accredited course search: https://www.engc.org.uk/education-skills/course-search/recognised-course-search
If you type in the relevant keywords, you would find the following page which says it is: https://www.engc.org.uk/education-skills/course-search/recognised-course-search/?page=1&q=dundee+biomedical+engineering+msc&s=all&courseId=9118

My question is why do a biomed engineering degree when you could do a degree in mechanical engineering and get the same job and accreditation?
