Is it possible to take biology in year 13 as an AS without taking it in year 12?
If your school / college permits it, you should be able to do so

Depends on your school: some schools might let you, but for others it might be too much work and many prefer students to do it in year 12 (especially as it means less exam/revision workload and pressure in year 13). There's also problems of timetable clashes. If you exclude that though, you can always teach yourself, e.g. with the textbooks and videos, and then apply as a private candidate (your school would probably still let you sit it with the Year 12s doing it that year even, you might just have to teach yourself). Note too, depending on the exam board it might be hard to effectively teach yourself as you may need to do required practicals and provide proof. This isn't to discourage you though - there's always a way around these things, and the short answer is of course, yes you can take it in year 13. I hope this helps you . Good luck with your exams!

You may be able to do it. You would have to ask your school if they will let you. Quite a few schools will let you, however some might not. Best to ask them.
