I find that where you can get a good grade in english just by including loads and loads of terminology, geography needs specific structure in the answer and obviously there's the different marks u can achieve in geography like AO1 (demonstrating knowledge), AO2 (geographical understanding), AO3 (applying ur own knowledge)
whereas in english there are LOADS more assessment objectives for each question.
this is all just my opinion based off my experience so far. hope this helps
