Hey, doing weimar and nazi germany! Can anyone please explain a good structure for the last q (how far do you agree with interpretation 2) because my teacher said talk about 2 then talk about 1 then briefly conclude but it feels like that isn't enough for 16 marks? Any help is appreciated lol

The way that we have been taught it is:
-Do an intro say what the interpretation argues and what it suggests, a quote
-Then do 3 paragraphs on your view on the interpretation, so agree disagree agree. In them, you need to say to what extent you agree and then use an example from your own knowledge, follow this with an inference about that in relation to the q, and repeat with own knowledge. Then do a final sentence answering the q- in each paragraph.
-Do a conclusion, including the final point you want to make about the extent to which you agree, then just way up the evidence. This is simply stating something and countering it. No new points.

Bruh that paper was foul… the entire thing was about cultural changes in the Weimar Republic. Only question on Nazi Germany (which is the relevant part of the course) was the first Source Inference question.

The interpretations were also horrible one of them just waffled about cinemas and film

I talked about how the party got banned so Hitler had to show Ebert they had changed and wouldn’t do anything like the Munich Putsch again. 12 marker was the only question I liked

i put how Goebells became minister of propaganda so they changed their methods of propaganda but i don’t know if that’s right

I do!! I wasn’t expecting the freedom summer at alll, but I think that the interpretations were quite good as there was a lot to talk about

How much marks are deducted from question with the 2 sources the 8 marker if u forget nature origin purpose part

i put about how hitler wanted to get rid of the socialism in the party calling them 'communists in disguise' and did that through his 5 hour speech at bamburg

probably 2 at most

that 16 marker for germany... im panicking haha

i thought my answer was pretty good and i was proud of it until i realised that i didn't exactly write inside of the time period.
for my first para i wrote about how november criminals and stab in the back myth, diktat etc led to the cabaret dancers "criticising the weimar politicans" as in interpretation 2. that's all well and good but i had to go outside of the golden age period to explain it.

am i going to be marked on this? i linked it back to the question so i really hope so. i'm panicking because my 12 marker didn't go so well and if my 16 marker doesn't go well then idk what to do. i was meant to get a 9, that's for sure out of the window now.

i also mentioned a few dates out of the period, as long as you mostly reference the period you're fine. some points outside are needed to explain how other events happen eg talking about how the 1923 failed munich putsch was what led to hitlers prison sentence, mein kampf etc. which was in the period
