Eww Germany was so bad, I'd literally only been taught about culture positively so was kind of stuck on the last because I didn't really have evidence to like back up that culture was causing 'crime, sex and drugs' idk wish there was 1919-23 or Hitler's rise to power. For 12 marker, did one about how they needed to reorganise as no one was voting for them because of stresemann etc, one about bamberg and nationalism vs socialism and then one about how Hitler's imprisonment made him reconsider his plans for gaining power. Def my worst paper but at least history's over

I literally only knew like number of seats in like 1931-33 because that was like the relevant bit so basically just said that they weren't popular due to stability of the govt instead??? weird one

Yeah how’d you find it? I thought it was pretty good
that was a weird 12 marker didn’t even know they could ask that but I tried to fill up as much information I could as for the interpretation 1 & 2 was mainly talking about the importance of the radio, how art was now not limited through censorship as seen in rule of Kaiser, talked about famous movies, actresses and expressionism as well as Otto Dix and Bauhaus just people challenging the conventional German way, as well as new objectivity…hope what I wrote was right or if I just waffled

yeah same to be fair, basically the same explanations but put different evidence in both so hopefully won't matter too much

I didnt understand that either but then i started talking about how Hitler decided to get control by winning the elections rather than by using force like he tried to in the munich putsch , and i explained how because of this he wanted to reorganise his party. I think this sounds right because theres nothing else to mention about elections in these years lol

I actually really liked the exam and I think it went pretty good, at least I hope so! I do Weimar and Nazi Germany and I literally went over culture right before the exam so that was quite perfect. Source C is actually the picture my teacher set as her Google Classroom banner so recognising it in the exam was quite fun (but it's not like we even actually learnt anything about it but recognising the picture itself was quite cool)
just by chance, I watched a video the morning of the exam, and it was talking about Otto Dix's painting so I googled it and then it came up! Pretty cool

the exam was very weird - not what i expected. I talked about the 25 point thing, and mein kamph and the munich putch(yes it was out of the time period but i talked abt its effects) for the 12 marker

well done! Idk how i did - for the 16 marker my judgement was that i partly agreed with both interpretations 1 and 2 since the cultural changes as a result of the freedom present in the weimar republic (as a result of it being a democracy which was outlined in article 1 in the weimar constitution) had both negative and positive impacts on the standard of living in weimar germany in the years 1924-29.
for the twelve marker i talked abt the munich putsch (ik it was outside the period i just talked abt its effects) and how it demonstrated to hitler that the general population would not support a military revolution, and so he set out gaining power politically. then my 2nd pt was the bamberg conference which was held in feb 1926 between the northern and southern gauleteirs reorganised the nazi party since hitler made it clear that the nationalist points of the 25 pt plan were more important than the socialist and that they would be followed. my 3rd pt was about the increased membership of the nazi party (1924 they had 27,000 members whereas by 1928 they had over 70,000). This, along with the big businesses (eg Benz) funding the Nazi party due to their fear of communism allowed the nazi party to improve their election campaigns and their propaganda, ultimately reorganising the nazi party

You can still include him as he became head of propaganda in 1929 in the time line

Did anytime feel like the only link between source C and interpretation 2 is that they both explore traditional views i found it really weird as source C seemed to criticise traditional germans and like promote art and liberity whereas interpretation 2 was probably a traditional german criticising art etc.

I talked about the foudation of the SA :/
The SA was formed in 1920, that's 4 marks gone. But my other points were solid.
I talked about the use of gauleiters and the Strasser brothers at the Bamberg Conference
