Are we allowed access to any of our medical records or not?

I saw a specialist doctor with BUPA who I have a follow up appointment with in 6 weeks.

I had a blood test last week and rang to request a copy of my blood results. I explained that I just prefer to have a copy then I can ask questions about any result if I need to, it just helps. However she insisted that she could not send me a copy and that I would need to wait for the follow up.

I thought we could request access to our records but I don’t know do blood tests not count?

Perhaps she doesn't want you worrying about things and getting worked up about things you might find googling before the appointment? I don't see any issues with you getting the blood results though, my GP has given me printouts of results on a couple of occasions in the past without me even asking.
