What are your favourite things to do on a day out?
Here in Canterbury, We have a great number of things you can do on a day out. Here are some of our favourites!
Canterbury Cathedral: A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Canterbury Cathedral is one of the oldest and most famous Christian structures in England. Explore the beautiful architecture, learn about its fascinating history, and attend a choral evensong service.
Westgate Gardens: Stroll through these beautiful gardens along the River Stour, with its picturesque weeping willows, flower beds, and historic architecture.
St. Augustine's Abbey: Explore the ruins of this ancient abbey, right next to our Main Campus! Founded in the 6th century by St. Augustine. It's a great place to learn about the history of Christianity in England.
Punting on the River Stour: Enjoy a leisurely punt along the scenic River Stour, taking in the beauty of Canterbury's historic architecture and natural surroundings.
The Marlowe Theatre: Catch a performance at this modern theatre, which hosts a variety of plays, musicals, and comedy shows throughout the year.
Howletts Wild Animal Park: Just a short drive from Canterbury, this animal park is home to a variety of endangered animals, including gorillas, tigers, and elephants. It's a great day out for the whole family.
