Christmas activities to do solo in London

Christmas time in London is so magical, and while being a student at Kingston University it would be insane not to pop on the fast train straight into London to enjoy days of activities!! Sometimes I want to follow my own plans and have a day to myself where I do exactly what I want to do! This blog will cover all the solo activities you can do in London throughout the Christmas season. Pop over to my other blog to see what there is to enjoy in London with friends if you want a variety.

I personally love shopping when I am alone. I don’t have to follow anyone around the shops that they want to go to- I get to go exactly at my own pace and have no complaining from anyone else!! Take yourself to Piccadilly Circus to walk along Oxford Street to see all the Christmas lights along the road while you weave in and out of all your favourite shops! Carnaby Street is worth the visit to see their amazing Christmas decorations, shops and restaurants. My favourite road of shops is Oxford Street, towards Tottenham Court Road from Oxford Circus. All of my favourite shops are here, such as: Urban Outfitters, Zara, Bershka, Lush and TkMaxx! Covent Garden is also worth the visit to see the Christmas tree and more shops with lots of restaurants to visit!!!

Christmas Markets are perfect to visit if you want to visit a different environment than the usual shops! You can find these in places such as the Southbank Centre Christmas Market or the Christmas by the River market at London Bridge. Grab a warm drink while you walk around and get into the Christmas spirit! Why not also do some Christmas shopping at the same time.

If you want to go to London and not shop, then why not take a peaceful stroll through one of London's beautiful parks, such as Hyde Park or Regent's Park. You can pop in your headphones to listen to your favourite songs or maybe take along some colouring or a book to read on a bench with a warm drink! Christmas songs will be ideal to listen to as well as some Christmas podcasts. Make sure you wrap up warm!!

Visiting bookstores is an amazing idea on how to spend a cozy afternoon. Pick up a holiday-themed book or simply enjoy the atmosphere with a warm drink. There are a variety of book stores to choose from in London, all with a huge variety of books and places to sit.

Maybe you want to socialise with new people or try something new alone. Why not participate in a Christmas-themed workshop or class, such as a wreath-making class, a baking workshop, or a festive art session. Have a look on the website ‘classbento.com’ or follow this link (https://classbento.co.uk/christmas-activities-london) to see all the classes you can sign up to.

Have fun in this festive season. Everyone need’s some alone time so don’t feel guilty!!

Leave some more ideas down below if you have tried anything out or want to recommend.
