What did you guys do for the induction stove q I was baffled I basically just explained how resistance increases so more wasted energy transferred to thermal

that last page was not it. had no idea what to say. you?

Same lmao apparently u use the rms of V and I

i made the same mistake. it was a magnetic flux and faradays law question

What did everyone get:
In the cricket question, was the batsman out??
dc motor?
Transistor question?

have u done the test?

Yes I just dont remember all the q's lol

What did u do for it I calculated the resistance of the LDR for the other resistance to have a 0.7v and the light intensity was huge so I put that it wasn't working as intended wbu

Alternating pd -> alternating current -> generates alternating mag field in coil -> pan experiences a rate of change of flux linkage -> emfs induced in pan -> opposes change that creates it -> eddy current due to resistance in pan -> heats up (I didn't put the eddy currents bit)

Oof I was thinking that the eddie current wouldn't be able to heat it that much so I didn't go that route

yeah i did the same, but apparently it did work

but loads of people in my class found it bad

Yea I got it to work as well. Gave pretty good results
Was the transistor in parallel with the resisitor

What did you write in part B,does it heat faster when the frequency increases

No it was series I’m fairly sure - what did people get for the moments question?
Original post by enrdegttve23
Was the transistor in parallel with the resisitor

It was in parallel but since its resistance is infinite the total R in that combination is still the R of the resistor. Aka the transistor doesn't affect it
