Here's my working out that Matters keeps asking for..
I tried working it out but cannot seem to understand no matter what and my exams are week so would really appreciate help

5/7 of 56=40

5/7 of 75=53

75/7=10.71

So 10.71

75/7=10.71

So 10.71

The first part is right. Read the question again. What the questions says is for you to calculate the number of book read in box 1 ( which you have done). It says, he read the same number of book in box 2 as well. So you use answer from 1 to divide by the number of book in box 2. Which will tell you the percentage of books reads in box 2. Hope this helps

In other words, you are looking for the fraction of books read in box b.
We know that the amount of books read in box a is equal to box b, and is 40.
We also know the total books in box b, which is 75.
So Ling has read 40 books out of a total 75 in the box...
You're almost there!
