Spring in Kingston: Hiking in Surrey Hills

Do you enjoy long walks and scenic views?
Are you an avid hiker looking for a challenge?

Although about an hour drive away from Kingston, Surrey Hills is a beautiful national park full of winding roads and hills peppered with farmland and meadows of bluebells and rapeseed blooms in Spring! :h:

I recently had the opportunity to go hiking with some friends at Leith Hill which is the highest point in Surrey, South-East England, and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. On a good day with clear skies, to the south you can get an unobstructed view of the countryside towards the English Channel and to the north you can even see the skyline of the tall towers in central London! If you are willing to spend a little money, you can pay and climb the Leith Hill Tower at the summit to use their telescope, but if not, just soak in the breathtaking views and enjoy one of the best sausage rolls at the Tanhouse bakery at Leith Hill Tower! :colondollar:

Do remember to bring an extra pair of shoes as the trails involve crossing through farmland and are often muddy!:s-smilie:

Have you ever been to Leith Hill? Are you a fan of hiking or long walks? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!
