Help urgent maths

Help I don’t get this question the answer is the first box but how, I get that it’s a minimum curve and will have negative gradient but why is it not the second or third box??

Just getting your pen or ruler out and tracing the locus of the tangent (the gradient) - its positive at the start, is zero when its a maximum and then goes negative. So think about where f(x) is a maximum and the gradient is zero at that point.

It goes through a positive y value…
im struck I don’t get it plz elaborate

When f(x) is maximum, the gradient f'(x) is zero. Which x value does that occur for. Thats about it
