Can a vfx degree get me onto a film production masters degree?
Hello, like the title says I graduated from university two years ago studying VFX. As much as I enjoy vfx I am also interested in film production and would like to potentially do a masters if I can to fully understand production better.
So my question is, is VFX relevant enough to do a master in film production?

I would say so. With vfx you could certainly apply under a post-production pathway, if they stream applicants accprding to craft skills such as editing.
Bear in mind that they might be looking for students who can drive their own projects as Producers, so having something to say about ideas is always a plus.
The thing do is create a shortlist of courses, make contact, ask questions.
Do you want to work in a team, where you do the editing? Do you want to "make" your own films, i.e. come up with the idea, direct? These are the key things to clarify before you commit.
