Help urgent maths

Help I don’t get why it’s sin-1 (0.6/0.8)
Sin is soh
S= O/A
And the opposite length is root 7 over 5
Because hyp squared minus adj squared… then square root ans.

Theyve worked out the complementary angle, so the angle with the horizontal, and its ~49 and 41+49=90 as youd expect.

But why have they worked that angle out… how am I supposed to know to do that in my exam??

The mark scheme says "Accept complementary angles" so as long as you resolve forces correctly it shouldn't matter to the final answer :smile:
