If a relationship ran its course and you knew it, what would be some reasons that would make you want to stay in it?

Totally depends on the situation. Are you talking about a short relationship, a long one, a marriage?
Are there financial responsibilities? Kids? A shared property? Is the woman afraid of certain repercussions that might happen if the relationship ends?

Lots of people stay in relationships that aren't necessarily for love, for a wide variety of reasons.
