Economics Warwick entry requirements

I am currently doing the IB and was slightly confused about the entry requirements for the Economics course at Warwick. For the A level requirement an A star in maths is required with A* A*A as a entry requirement, however it's more lenient for IB and 6,6,6 at HL and 39 overall is the requirement. Hence a 7 is not even required for HL maths. I was wondering if applying with a predicted 6 in HL maths would reduce my chances because of the A star requirement despite the requirement being a 6 in all Hl's?

Current Warwick econ student here,
Maybe a joint economics degree at Warwick would be easier to get into but Warwick economics put a lot of emphasis on maths and I would assume they would only take the best grade in maths for which ever exams you do. Warwick economics prefers both an A* in maths and further maths for A-levels, I cannot speak for IB though.
