Supporting finance application (3rd yr) other Dependent 16 year old education status

I'm supporting my eldest child's (age 20) re- application for his 3rd Year in a full time under graduate course.
Due to our situation - I'm disabled & we are on benefits (Household income: £25,000 or less) my son gets the full maintenance loan.

I'm stuck on section 6 - Dependants.
"Select your dependant's education status for academic year 2023/24"

My other child is now 16 yrs old (currently in yr 11) / he will still be 16 in September.
In September he will be starting Further Education - on a level 3 course which is equivalent to 3 A Levels (2 yrs) - At a college (full time).

We will still receiving Child benefit & Child tax Credits for him (they have been informed & confirmed).

Do I chose option 1:
"School/ A levels at College"

OR

Option 2
"Studying at College/ University"

I think its option 1 because:
Its further education.
It's level 3 course equivalent to 3 A levels
In September he will going into what would be YR 12 / lower 6th form equivalent - just at at a college instead of a school.

But, I just wanted to double check as its at a college & a A levels equivalent not actual A levels.

Many thanks

Hi there,

Yes, you would select option 1.
