Does higher grades than the entry requirements mean better chances?

So for example bath university, they require a*aa. Say 1 person just got a*aa and someone else got a*a*a*. Would they be treated the same since they met the entry requirements and would they look at personal statements or do they also consider this?
i think either would be offered a place but it would just be down to whether they actually get the grades or not! it may also determine whether it's a conditional or unconditional offer if the uni still does those. for example, if a uni asks for CCC and somebody has BBC and then another has AAA, the person with AAA is more likely to receive an unconditional but both people are still, in theory, going to be considered the same for the place.

I think for a highly competitive course, at a highly competitve Uni, it might make a difference as to who got an offer in the first place, but once you got the offer, then if you meet the requirements, you are in.

The majority of courses in the UK will offer to pretty much everyone that is predicted or has achieved the entry requirements. So in that sense it won't make much difference.

But for competitive courses, yes, higher predictions may give you a boost on the academic scoring side of the application.

Even courses within the same uni will use different offer-making methods depending on the volume of applications per place.
