MSc Finance at Durham or year out?

I am just about to graduate from Bath
uni with a degree in Economics. I have 2 options for next year:

1) Go to Durham to complete a masters in finance (I have a scholarship so cost is not as much of a factor)
2) Live at home and apply for jobs

I’m unsure on what option to pick, as I’m aware that most jobs in finance do not require a masters and therefore getting real world experience may provide more value. Whilst I see Durham as a good uni, I’m conscious that it’s not a ‘target’ uni for a lot of employers.

For more context, I currently have a year experience on placement doing mid-office work at a bank. Any tips/advice would be appreciated.

My advice, are you 100% sure you went to spend the rest of your working life in finance? Is a master's in finance going to prepare you for the working world of 20-30 years time? Have you been to Durham/ think you will want to spend a year of your life there?
Durham isn't going to massively add to your profile considering bath UG, I think you can already land a decent grad scheme if you prep well (given you got a 2:1/1st at bath)
