Experience in technical theatre
How should I go about finding experience in stage management or technical theatre, I've tried looking into volunteering or work experience at small local theatres but no luck, there are a few local drama groups I will contact but those I have haven't been looking for tech. I need the experience to help get into uni.
I struggled at first to. But i've found loads of drama posts on FB groups. For me, theres 5 seperate drama FB groups ive joined. And through there ive found out what plays people are doing and then thats where you DM so and so if they are looking for people to help with set,sound or lighting for so and so show. Thats litrally all i know for how to get a role helping backstage. Applying for volenteer never ever does anything. I wish you luck on finding something!!!
