Student Services at Kingston: KU Cares

One of the many student services available to Kingston University students is KU cares!
A programme which provides bursaries and support for care leavers, estranged students, carers and sanctuary scholars! Here is a short write up on the support benefits you may be able to receive if you are eligible!

Financial Support
If you are a care leaver or estranged home student enrolling at Kingston University, you may be able to receive a non-repayable KU Cares bursary of £1,500 per progressive year of study!
As for young adult carers, you may receive a Young Adult Carer bursary between £500 to £1000 per progressive year of study depending on your household income! Students are also given priority for the Kingston University Bursary if they meet all the conditions.

Accommodation
Apart from financial support, students under the KU Cares scheme will be given priority for student accommodation in Kingston University’s Halls of Residence! :colondollar:

Graduation and Outduction
Upon graduation, the KU cares scheme provides a free gown hire and photography package with complimentary tickets for 2 guests. Additionally, upon completion of your degree, a bursary award of £1000 is awarded to students following a meeting with the KU cares team!
