Why do guys wink at girls?

My co-worker asked me a question and I answered in a way that could have a double meaning and could be interpreted in a sexual way ( I did not mean it that way though - and my answer could be interpreted in a totally normal way).So he asked me the same question again with a wink. Why did he do that?

It's not really specific to girls... it's just kind of mean that there's a hidden message / joke and you're both in on it. I'm sure he was just acknowledging that he got the innuendo and was mildly amused by it.

I wouldn't worry about it, unless he starts to latch on to whatever was said or his behaviour completely changes.
