I can talk about most computing conversion degrees in general from another uni. I'd recommend being confident in maths and knowing basic python (to have a feel of the subject). They'll train you up.

The question is this the field I want to get into and devote so much of my time and money. You should try some programming and ask yourself that question. They can be intensive but achievable.
