PGCE as a single parent and benefits

I am wanting to start primary PGCE next September 2024. Does anyone have an idea of how much (if any) universal credit I would be entitled to if I went down the PGCE route instead of salaried schol direct?

I know that the student loan for the fees is counted as income with regards to UC but not sure if I would be entitled to anything else.

I'm currently a teaching assistant but there is no option for me to train at work.

Hi there,

You would need to contact UC directly regarding your eligibility with them.

Thanks, Clare
