18yr old benefits
so ive turned 18 and am living with my mom. She requires my child benefit to help her out since she is a single parent. However, I'm taking a gap year off education, meaning she won't be receiving it. I can start work, but due to my location, it's hard to find some. I am also looking to go back to education this year, and am in the process of finding a college. If I find full time education, my mom gets the child benefit again. my family wants me to focus on education only, not jobs, so I've applied for JSA at the moment, even though Idk if i should - it hasnt gone through yet.
Should I apply for some benefits, wait til I get into education again, or just keep trying to find a job?
