Do uni rankings matter

I’m doing a law degree at a very low rank (league table) university that is not Russell group. when applying for a job do employers look at what university you got your degree from? Would passing the SQE, LPC or bar exam further advantage me and make employers focus less on where I got my degree?
From what I've read, there is increasingly less focus on the university a person has attended, and I believe more law firms are no longer looking at the uni a person has studied at when making any judgements. Afterall, a 1st at a low ranking uni is far more valuable than a 2:2 at a highly ranked uni.

I wouldn't worry too much about the uni you're getting your degree from, the Russell group label is just a label afterall
