Engineering

As an engineering student I will be commuting. What happens if there are delays in trains or if their are strikes.
Are there online lessons to catch up where I can watch it live from home
What happens if I’m late
Does my attendance go down

Hi!

Most lectures are recorded so any missed lectures can be easily caught up on! These won't be live but are usually uploaded fairly promptly after a lecture (this may depend on the lecturer). If you miss a workshop/seminar due to train problems I would suggest emailing your lecturer to let them know and they will be able to help. They may be able to move you to a different seminar time or send you any information you missed. Your attendance will only really become a problem if you have a lot of unexplained absences, so you won't have to worry about that. You could discuss this with your academic advisor (you may not know who that is yet but they should be in touch within your first few weeks) and they may be able to support you.

I hope this helps!
