Do UK law firms value US work experience?

How much value, if any, do UK law firms place on applicants who have international legal experience? I know there are a lot of American law firms in London so i'm wondering whether having this would make me stand out.

Hey!

I think that any legal work experience that you have is valuable regardless whether it is UK or non-UK related. You could talk about how the legal work experience that you have conducted has made you interested in a career in law, especially a particular practice area if you acquired experience in that area. It is also a strong point to make during an application and/or interview that you want to join firm X's practice area because you have already done legal work experience in this practice area. Commercial Law Academy has a great course on how to talk about writing successful applications, which you could check out.
