Look at the University websites that you're interested in and it tells you how the course is assessed. As an example the BA Hons at NTU states;
The majority of your work will be assessed through:

coursework-based essays
reports
examinations
individual and group presentations
your work experience portfolio
a final year research-based dissertation.
There will also be practical assessments, which will include:

group and individual presentations
video exercises
poster presentations
IT-based exercises.

Hiya!

I am a second year health and well-being student at De Montfort University. Regarding your question, it depends on the university at DMU I have no exams and alternatively I am assessed by majority essays, but others are portfolios, reports, presentations, reflective logs and case studies. :smile:

Try and have a look at university courses online and see if it is listed the teaching and assessment methods (Here is DMU's just click on the tab where it says Structure and Assessment)

Hope this helps, and please leave a message if you have any more questions
