prospective GB student at QUB

Hi! I'm currently looking at Queen's as an option (I'm English) and I have some questions that I'm hoping some people can answer.

As a GB student, is it hard to make friends with locals? I've heard it is like 70% local students and was wondering if it becomes a bit cliquey?

Again, as a GB student, is it hard to keep in contact with friends during summer and later once graduated? I'm worried that any friends I make we'll lose touch after uni once I move back.

May be overthinking this but any replies will be greatly appreciated!

To be honest, yes QUB can be quite cliquey (this is true of Northern Ireland in general). Look, there are English people that come over from GB to QUB and make friends etc, but I think it's harder to make friends at QUB than at a typical English uni. Lots of QUB students go home to their parents' houses at the weekends, for example. And lots of QUB students will already have groups of friends from their hometown/school etc, so they may not be as keen to make new friends as in your average English uni.

Disclaimer: This is only my personal opinion!
